
What is Wonderland Fishtown
Wonderland Fishtown is a simple yet radical intervention for social change. It consists of two components: an immersive and surreal sculpture garden, and a diverse, LGBTQIA+-friendly intentional community.
Our mission, to create and foster healthy, real-life social connections, draws directly from the 80-year Harvard Grant Study which showed that the quality of relationships is the biggest driver of human happiness. Wonderland uses concepts adapted from sociology and the psychology of play along with art and sustainable architecture in order to bring people from all walks of life together in a safe environment.
Events
Wonderland hosts events that encourage authentic connection and/or support the local artistic, BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities.
Events are generally alcohol-free or BYOB and have no or limited amplified sound.
Past events include themes such as authentic relating, community led open mics, divine feminine workshops, sound bowl and alternative healing groups, topic based group conversations, collaborations and community member presentations, internships, art openings, local acoustic musicians and nonprofit fundraisers.
Pricing
The maintenance and upkeep of the sculpture garden is funded by donations.
Wonderland offers its space for free to nonprofits whose missions support local disadvantaged communities or the environment.
Other events asked to contribute on a pay-what-you-can basis, with a suggested donation of $40/hr.

Liability Release
This agreement releases Franklin Spice LLC, d.b.a. Wonderland Fishtown, its employees and affiliates (“Wonderland Fishtown”) from any and all liability or injury claims that may occur during <EVENT NAME> (“Event”) on <EVENT DATE>.
By signing this agreement, <RESPONSIBLE PARTY> (“Event Organizer”) agrees to keep Wonderland Fishtown entirely free from any liability, including financial responsibility for injuries and/or illness incurred, regardless of whether injuries and illness are caused by negligence. Event Organizer forfeits the right to bring a suit against Wonderland Fishtown for any reason.
Event Organizer’s patrons are aware and acknowledge all the risks involved in attending Event. Event can result in accidents that no amount of care, caution, instruction or expertise can eliminate. Guests voluntarily assume all risk while attending Event at Wonderland Fishtown.
Acknowledgement of Rules
_____ Event Organizer must assign a dedicated individual at the entrance for the entirety of the event
_____ No alcohol can be sold, given away, or provided to guests in any manner
_____ If guests are allowed to bring their own alcohol, ALL event attendees must be 21 years or older regardless of whether they plan to consume alcohol. Event organizer is responsible for checking all IDs at the door.
_____ The maximum occupancy will be limited to 60 people at all times
_____ Amplified sound must end at 10:30PM sharp
_____ Wonderland is located on a residential block. The decibel level must be non-disruptive to our neighbors.
_____ Event organizer must stay until all guests have left the premises
_____ Event organizer must clean up all trash at the end of the event including cigarette butts
_____ Climbing on the sculptures is strictly prohibited
_____ Event organizer is responsible for all damage that occurs during the event
_____ Event hosts must provide a flyer to the Art Director no later than 14 days prior to the event
A Government-Issued Photo ID of the responsible party must be provided with this document.
